Radio Configuration
    ===================

        The setting of the radio configuration data will affect the way in 
    which the codeplug information is presented to on the codeplug options 
    screen.  The configuration data falls the categories of; hardware 
    configuration, and software configuration. 

    Hardware Configuration
    ----------------------

    (1) If a '2 channel Radio' is selected, then the programmer will only 
        give you access to channels 1 and 2 of the channel related 
        information.  If you change a 2 channel personality to an 8 channel 
        personality, channels 3 to 8 will be overwritten with channel 2 
        information.
        The 'Non Standard Channels' option will be set if the programmer 
        reads a radio which has neither 2 nor 8 channels, you are able to 
        select either the 2 channel or 8 channel options for such a radio, 
        however you cannot make a 2 or 8 channel radio Non Standard. 

    (2) The bandsplit information tells you which bandsplit the current 
        personality is set up for.  Changing the bandsplit will give the 
        following warning :-
    
            "Please realign channel frequencies" 
            "to new bandsplit"

        This warning will not be enforced, but a check will be made whenever 
        you try to write the codeplug data to radio or disc, or when you try 
        to change the channel frequencies. 

    (3) The radio communications field allows you to specify which 
        commmunications port will be used to interface with the RIB.  ie. 
        Communications via COM1 or COM2. 
    
    Software Configuration
    ----------------------

    (1) The 5 Tone encode/decode options control which 5 tone options will be 
        displayed on the Codeplug options screen.  Changing on this field 
        will remove all related options from the codeplug options screen, 
        and will disable relevent options in the current personality as 
        required, eg. changing from 'Encode Only' to 'Decode Only' will cause 
        all encode related options to be removed from the codeplug options 
        screen, and all encode related options in the current personality 
        to be disabled.

    (2) Selecting the Omit Multicall option will cause all multicall related 
        options to be removed from the Codeplug options list, and all the 
        multicall options will be disabled in the current personality.
