AirOS F Firmware Revision History ==================================================================== Supported products * airFiber 24/24HD ==================================================================== Changelog: -------------------------------------------- Version 4.1.0 (March 23th, 2020) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - Added support for UNMS - Added telemetry reporting (optional) - Changes to support Apple SSL certificate location rules - Updated default https certificates validity for 18 years - Added Paraguay and Swaziland country codes - Telnet Server port number now displayed on Services tab when using default number (23) - Added alert box when Receive Target Power is enabled - Build number now shown in system tab - Firmware version now displayed with product ID (i.e AF11 vs AF09) - Assorted web changes to colors, initial login screens, updated EULA Improvements: - Detect and recover from OTA management traffic lockup - Fixed issue where capacity graph showed 2x capacity when there was no GPS signal at the timing master - Fixed issue where GPS process would use 100% of the CPU - Fixed issue where RF link would repeatedly reset if Ethernet port was disabled - Addressed issue with moving (jittery) labels around signal strength graph - Fixed issue with Carrier Drop Operation where unit would not come back if Block Data After Pulse was enabled - Fixed issue where disabling Management VLAN after upgrade from pre v4.0 could corrupt networking configuration - Fixed SNMP reporting of frequency (SNMP now reports frequencies in MHz) - Fixed Static IP gateway address usage (was ignored if configured with v4.0.x) - Fixed GUI issue where deleting link name and pasting in a replacement would not work - Manual browser refresh not required when upgrading FROM 4.1.0 - Updated SNMP MIB Known Issues: - If you are upgrading from pre-v4.0 software, your password (after upgrade) will be the first 8 characters of your pre v4.0 password. If you chose to downgrade, please ensure that your password is no longer than 8 characters or you will be locked out of your unit. - There is a rare condition where the datapath can lock up even though the RF path is good. This can happen from a once a week to once every few months. It appears that this issue has existed since v3.2 (and likely earlier). This issue is being addressed in v4.1.1 and a temporary work around is available via the beta forum. If you have not seen this issue, you are unlikely to with or without this fix. This is an AF24 specific issue. Notes: - Please update far end of a link before the near end - Please refresh browser cache when logging into a v4.1.0 unit for the first time - LLDP traffic is no longer carried over the RF link if inband management is enabled - UNMS cannot upgrade airFiber firmware loaded with pre-beta8 firmware (i.e. -beta7, etc.) -------------------------------------------- Version 4.0.5 (September 18th, 2019) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - none Improvements: - Addresses CSRF security issue Known Issues: - Ethernet Carrier Drop Block Data After Pulse does not work and should be disabled This is true for all releases where this feature exists Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 4.0.4 (July 18th, 2019) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - none Improvements: - DoS kernel patches regarding CVE-11477, CVE-11478, CVE-11479 Known Issues: - Ethernet Carrier Drop Block Data After Pulse does not work and should be disabled This is true for all releases where this feature exists Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 4.0.3 (January 29th, 2018) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - none Improvements: - Security patch to address Read Only user privilege escalation Known Issues: - Ethernet Carrier Drop Block Data After Pulse does not work and should be disabled This is true for all releases where this feature exists Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 4.0.2 (November 8th, 2017) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - none Improvements: - Fixed Static IP issue where static IP gateway was not programmed into router table Known Issues: - Ethernet Carrier Drop Block Data After Pulse does not work and should be disabled This is true for all releases where this feature exists Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 4.0.1 (October 13th, 2017) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - none Improvements: - Fixed Static IP issue where DNS IPs were not being by new GUI after factory reset - Fixed issue where event names in engineering log were out of sync with actual event name Known Issues: - Spectrum Analyzer still Java based Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 4.0 (August 29th, 2017) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - All New GUI - Immediate changes for Basic Wireless Settings; RF link maintained where possible - Added strict timing mode for improved co-location Improvements: - Full password length now used (not just first 8 characters) for both web and ssh/telnet - Ethernet Carrier drop now has high and low trigger points, new timers, etc - Various Security Updates Known Issues: - Spectrum Analyzer still Java based - If your configuration has ALL three of the characteristics listed: 1. You have inband management disabled 2. You have a management VLAN enabled 3. You manage a remote radio (far side of an airFiber RF link) by connecting the remote data port to the management port either directly or through a switched network you will need to enable inband management on the remote radio BEFORE you upgrade. After the upgrade, you can then reconnect to the remote radio and disable inband management. Failure to do so will leave the remote radio unmanageable over the RF link (local access via the management port will still function normally). Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end - Only first 8 characters of old passwords are used after update - must reconfigure for longer passwords -------------------------------------------- Version 3.4-beta1 (June 3, 2016) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - Remote IP on mainpage is now a link to the paired radio Improvements: - n/a Fixes: - n/a Known Issues: - n/a Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 3.2 (Nov 30, 2015) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - AC2 Support - Carrier Drop tracks Capacity - TDD Variable Duty Cycle - Actual/Ideal receive power shown on front page - Dataport can be disabled (please be careful) - Displays Framelength on Front Page Improvements: - AirView launch defaults to download and run locally - Improved airView interference detection time - Bring all airFiber radios up to a common release - Internal Cleanup/Organization Fixes: - Corrected Max EIRP to 23dBm for Bahrain - Address various airView Issues including unable to start, TCP port configuration, unresponsive radios - Modified Discovery protocol to report MAC address printed on unit Known Issues: - SSH password only use first 8 characters of login password - We are investigating possible modulation downgrade relative to pre-beta code - if you see this, please let us know Notes: - Duplex settings MUST be the same on both Master and Slave - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 2.2.1 (July 17, 2015) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - n/a Improvements: - n/a Fixes: - Addresses vulterability that could allow unauthenticated users to gain access to the device via HTTP(s).
