AirOS F Firmware Revision History ==================================================================== Supported products * airFiber 4X/5X ==================================================================== Changelog: -------------------------------------------- Version 4.0.1 (October 13th, 2017) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - none Improvements: - Fixed issue where DFS radar notch frequencies wouldn't complete CAC - Fixed Static IP issue where DNS IPs were not being by new GUI after factory reset - Fixed issue where event names in engineering log were out of sync with actual event name Known Issues: - Spectrum Analyzer still Java based Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 4.0 (August 29th, 2017) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - All New GUI - Receive Target Power (control tx power to hit remote receive target) - Slave Frequency Scanning (autoscan of up to 10 frequencies looking for beacon) - Immediate changes for Basic Wireless Settings; RF link maintained where possible - Added strict timing mode for improved co-location (AF4X) Improvements: - Full password length now used (not just first 8 characters) for both web and ssh/telnet - Addressed issue with unstable (periodic) links when using VLAN priorities - Ethernet Carrier drop now has high and low trigger points, new timers, etc. - Various Security Updates - Improved RF filtering / adjacent signal rejection - DFS trigger improvements (allows slave unit to use GPS signal) - should configure duty cycle on remote unit - Tighter timing restrictions for NxN to improve registration timing (AF5X) - NxN configurations now support DFS channels (AF5X) - 75% Duty cycle now works correctly with 20MHz and 10MHz bandwidths Known Issues: - Spectrum Analyzer still Java based - If your configuration has ALL three of the characteristics listed: 1. You have inband management disabled 2. You have a management VLAN enabled 3. You manage a remote radio (far side of an airFiber RF link) by connecting the remote data port to the management port either directly or through a switched network you will need to enable inband management on the remote radio BEFORE you upgrade. After the upgrade, you can then reconnect to the remote radio and disable inband management. Failure to do so will leave the remote radio unmanageable over the RF link (local access via the management port will still function normally). Notes: - Recommend updating far end of link before near end - Only first 8 characters of old passwords are used after update - must reconfigure for longer passwords -------------------------------------------- Version 3.2.1 (March 11, 2016) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - Added support for NxN multi-radio antenna configuration Improvements: - n/a Fixes: - Fixed issue where non-DFS frequency could display a DFS event in some frequency configurations Know Issues: - SSH password only use first 8 characters of login password - Long links with high duty cycles may not modulate above 2x. This is related to link length. If you see this, please change your duty cycle to 66% or 50%. This will be addressed in v3.3-beta1 Notes: - Previous values for Automatic Power Backoff will be defaulted if not updating from 3.2 - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 3.2 (Nov 30, 2015) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - Support for split rx and tx frequencies - 10x modulation support for the UNII-1 band - AC2 Support - Carrier Drop tracks Capacity - Dataport can be disabled (please be careful) - Displays Framelength on Front Page Improvements: - Rx power for chain 1 now displayed in SISO (1x and lower) modes - Improved receiver decode performance - GPS Sync timing for AF5/AF5U co-location - Bring all airFiber radios up to a common release Fixes: - AirView launch defaults to download and run locally - Automatic power backoff uses new defaults - Automatic power backoff added set defaults button - South Africa tx power limit raised to legal limit - General 53 dBm EIRP limit raised based on configuration Known Issues: - SSH password only use first 8 characters of login password - Long links with high duty cycles may not modulate above 2x. This is related to link length. If you see this, please change your duty cycle to 66% or 50%. This will be addressed in v3.3-beta1 Notes: - Previous values for Automatic Power Backoff will be defaulted - Recommend updating far end of link before near end -------------------------------------------- Version 3.0.2.1 (July 17, 2015) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - n/a Improvements: - n/a Fixes: - Addresses vulterability that could allow unauthenticated users to gain access to the device via HTTP(s). All users should update immediately. Known Issues: - n/a Notes: - n/a -------------------------------------------- Version 3.0.2 (April 2, 2015) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - Added Ideal Receive Power, Conducted Tx power, Antenna Gain, and Cable Loss to the status page - Added South Africa country code Improvements: - Added Ideal Receive Power, Conducted Tx power, Antenna Gain, and Cable Loss to the status page Fixes: - Increased conducted power limit from 23dBm to 26dBm for the U-NII-3 band (5.725GHz-5.825GHz) Known Issues: - n/a Notes: - n/a -------------------------------------------- Version 3.0 (April 2, 2015) -------------------------------------------- New Features: - Initial Release Improvements: - n/a Fixes: - n/a Known Issues: - n/a Notes: - n/a
