Faults communicate information about errors that occurred when using the VMware Infrastructure Object Model.
Faults store information about changes in the system, such as which managed object the fault pertains to. The fault type indicates the nature of the problem. For example, the NoPermission fault occurs when an operation is denied because of insufficient privileges. Furthermore, this fault includes information about which managed object could not be modified because of the insufficient privileges.
