Using Client Devices

With ESX Server 3, you can connect some virtual devices to physical devices or ISO images located on the client machine. This is useful to allow users to use physical drives on their local machines rather than on the host system, or for the virtual machine to access an ISO image located on the client computer.

Client devices are currently supported for CD/DVD and Floppy drives.
