Configuring Memory

Use VI Web Access to edit the amount of memory allocated to virtual machines.

To edit memory allocation for a virtual machine

  1. Make sure the virtual machine is powered off.
  2. From the VI Web Access client, select the virtual machine.
  3. On the Summary tab, under Hardware, click Memory.
  4. To edit the memory allocation, click Edit.
  5. Specify a maximum memory size for a guest operating system, or it will not boot.

    Note: You can change a virtual machine's maximum memory size only when it is powered off.

  6. Click OK.
