Deploying a virtual machine from a template creates a virtual machine that is a copy of the template. The new virtual machine has the virtual hardware, installed software, and other properties that are configured for the template.
You must have the following privileges to deploy a virtual machine from a template:

3 | When you deploy a virtual machine to the vCenter Server inventory, you name it and select the folder where it will be located. |
4 | When you deploy a virtual machine, select the host, cluster, vApp, or resource pool in which the virtual machine will run. |
5 | When you add a virtual machine to the vCenter Server inventory, you must select the datastore on which to create the virtual machine's disks. |
6 | When you clone a virtual machine or deploy a virtual machine from a template, you can customize the guest operating system of the virtual machine to change properties such as the computer name, network settings, and license settings. |
7 | Before you deploy a new virtual machine, you have the option to configure the virtual hardware. |
8 | Before you deploy the virtual machine, you can review the virtual machine settings. |
