Platform-independent Firmware Upgrade ************************************************ First, go to the D-Link Web site to download firmware image file, D253B6.BIN. Remember the location you save this file. And then choose one of the following two methods: (firmware version 2.50 does not provide Web upgrade) * METHOD I: WEB UPGRADE 1. Connect the Web user interface and login as system administrator. 2. Click the "Firmware Upgrade" button of "Tools" page. And the "Firmware Upgrade" screen will appear. 3. Enter the location of the previously downloaded file in the text box, or click "Browse" button to search for the file. And then click "Upgrade" button. * METHOD II: FTP UPGRADE Use any FTP client you preferred to upload the downloaded files. The username to login the FTP server is "root" and the password is the same as the system administrator's. The default setting is "admin". Close the FTP session when the files are uploaded. It takes about 30 seconds. After the session is closed, the router will be restarted automatically.
