Known Issues:
  • Uninstalling the RACC on Vista - When uninstalling the RACC application on a Microsoft Windows Vista system, you may receive a message that RACC application should be closed before continuing with the uninstall. You may ignore this message and click OK at the prompt.
Important Notes:
  • During the installation of this product, you will be prompted for a port for the built-in web server to use. If you or your customer intends to access this application remotely from other computers, you may need to configure hardware and/or software firewalls to allow remote access to the port you choose.

  • While it is not strictly required that JavaScript be enabled in your web browser to use this application, it is highly recommended that it be enabled. The user experience will be better and some features will not be available if JavaScript is disabled.
Platform Notes:
  • Microsoft Windows XP - Tested on systems running Service Pack 2.

  • Microsoft Windows Vista - Tested on the base operating system and with Service Pack 1.

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 - If the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security system is enabled, you may need to browse to the addresses listed in the Signal servers and Connection points fields in the configuration page of Hi-Track RACC and manually add these sites to the Trusted sites zone before Hi-Track RACC will function properly. Prepend https:// to each address listed.
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 - During RACC installation, you may be prompted with the You must use the Role Management Tool to install or configure Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. message. Since Windows 2008 R2 already ships with the .NET Framework 3.5, you just need to enable the feature from Server Manager.
Uninstalling Hi-Track RACC:
During the installation of Hi-Track RACC, several components will be installed if they are not already present on the system. These components are the Hi-Track RACC application and the components listed above under Prerequisite software. To completely remove Hi-Track RACC from a system, open the Add/Remove Programs applet and remove the following components in the order listed below:
  • Hi-Track RACC
  • F5 Networks VPN Client for Windows
  • UltiDev Cassini Web Explorer
  • UltiDev Cassini Web Server for ASP.NET 2.0

It is not necessary and not recommended that you remove the Windows Installer 3.1 or any versions of the Microsoft .NET Framework (2.0, 3.0, and 3.5) which may have been installed.

To finish the cleanup process, you may optionally delete the following directories on the computer's file system:

  • C:\Program Files\Hitachi Data Systems\Hi-Track RACC
  • C:\Program Files\F5 VPN
  • C:\Program Files\UltiDev
  • C:\HDS (do not remove this if the system is running the Hi-Track SVP Agent)
