More detailed information about the above files can be found from their own installation directories.
Please refer to the SiteWizard Product description document for more detailed compatibility information.
You can obtain SiteWizard either as a CD-ROM or you can download it via NOLS (Nokia Online Services).
To install the different Element Managers and GCS,
follow the instructions of the installation program.
The
installation program should start automatically when the CD-ROM is inserted in
the CD-ROM drive. If it does not start, run setup.exe(SiteWizard 7 MP2.0) from
the CD-ROM manually.
Element managers require the Nokia Siemens Networks GCS component to manage the network elements. Ensure the GCS component is installed before any of the Element Manager installations, as the Element Managers need to be installed into the correct GCS environment. SiteWizard also provides an option to install GCS. SiteWizard detects the GCS installation on user's computer. If GCS version is same as or latest than one supported by this SiteWizard release, the GCS checkbox remains unselected by default. The user can however force the reinstallation if needed.
If you received the installation package as a
compressed file (.zip), extract the zip file contents into some temporary
directory in your hard disk. Then run setup.exe(SiteWizard 7 MP2.0) from the
directory. After the installation is completed, you can delete the temporary
directory and its contents.
PSM
Manager does not provide Windows Vista support. Installation of this Element
Manager on Windows vista doesn’t guaranty full functionality.
The SiteWizard application files are installed in each application's own subfolder under "C:\Program Files\Nokia" or "C:\Program Files\Nokia Siemens Networks”. Note that PSM Manager is installed under "C:\NokiaMgr" parent folder.
Note that Shortcut for GCS, BTS Manager, BTS HW Configurator, E1T1 Manager, RRI Manager, MetroHub Manager, UltraSite BTS Hub Manager, FC STM-1 Manager, Hopper Manager, Flexi EDGE BTS Manager, FlexiHub Manager, LMU Manager and LMUB Manager are created under Startà Nokia Siemens Networks. The shortcut for PSM manager is created under Start->Programs->Nokia Applications. There are no shortcuts created for STM-1 Manager and Bridge Manager, as they cannot be run standalone.
SiteWizard supports uninstallation of SiteWizard applications, which already exist on user's computer. Note that uninstallation of GCS is not supported by SiteWizard as it is an important shared application across many Nokia Siemens Networks Element Managers.
All the SiteWizard applications installed on
user's computer can be manually uninstalled via "Control Panel ->
Add/Remove Programs" option.
For
more details, see the online Help of the Operating System.
NOTE: If you have saved some extra files (logs, configurations, etc.) to the Element Manager directory, those files and the directory will NOT be deleted. You need to remove them by yourself.
Element Manager applications can be installed and upgraded directly from the SiteWizard installation. Element Managers that are selected for installation will install on top of any previous Element Manager of the same name.
Note: It is recommended that you take all necessary backups of files in case installation problems occur or if you wish to preserve any personal data files.
PSM Manager
FlexiHub Manager & Flexi EDGE BTS Manager
Multiple Versions of Flexi EDGE BTS Manager &
FlexiHub manager can coexist on user PC. They can create their own individual
destination folders. SiteWizard will not upgrade or uninstall the existing
versions of Flexi EDGE BTS Manager and Flexi Hub manager.

Documentation on NOLS.

The following issues are known for this SiteWizard version:
Failure to launch UltraSite BTS Hub Manager(UBHub Manager) from BTS Manager
BTS
Manager can launch UltraSite BTS Hub Manager from its tool bar. In order to do
this correctly, the NOKIAMGR registry variable
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Nokia\GCS Communication Service\NOKIAMGR) must be
set to the current location of UBHub Manager. If UBHub Manager
fails to launch, check the following:
1. Check UBHub Manager is installed on the PC.
2. Check the NOKIAMGR variable is pointing to the
same location as to where the UBHub Manager is installed. If the
locations are different, uninstall the UBHub Manager, install GCS and
reinstall the UBHub Manager. This will install the UBHub Manager in
the location NOKIAMGR is pointing to.
CX7 MP1.0 Individual
Installation
BTS
Manager CX(M)7 MP1.0 and BTS HW Configurator CX7 MP1.0 do not support GCS R6.1,
so if GCS R6.1 is already installed on PC then these managers cannot be
installed individually(without SiteWizard) through their setup.exe. They
display a missing GCS prompt and the installation terminates. To install these
applications individually, first install GCS R6.0 on PC. However these
applications install successfully through SiteWizard in presence of GCS R6.1
and there is no impact on functionality with GCS R6.1.
For information about bugs within the SiteWizard applications please refer to the individual readme files.
SiteWizard 7 MP2.0 requires Windows Installer version 3.1 installed on the computer as prerequisite. Below is a link which may help in resolving common problems faced due to Windows Installer engine.
